Sand Harbor is located in the northeast corner of Lake Tahoe and has a beautiful beach. The lake is cold but very clear. The lake and mountains are worth a visit. The place is right next to Lake Tahoe with Nevada Highway 28 passes through on the side.
It is a good choice to play in the sand and take a sunbathe in the Summer at Sand Harbor. If you want to go in the morning on regular holidays, it’d better be before 10 o'clock. Otherwise, you likely have to wait until 3 o'clock in the afternoon to get in. Do not forget the crazy crowd and try to come before ten in the morning.
In addition to sandy beaches, Sand Harbor also has rocky terrain, smooth stones to step on, canoeing or stand up paddleboarding (SUP). There are walking trails along the shore of the lake. You can see the sights of the Sand Harbor in one little trail. Do not miss the trail walking while you are here.
